Professor Shing-Tung Yau (Harvard University) delivered a public lecture on Saturday, January 15, 2011 at Baxter Lecture Hall, Caltech:
"The Joy of Research"
About 300 people attended Prof. Yau's lecture. Many people,
especially the Chinese students and scholars, found Prof. Yau's
lecture truly inspirational.

Professor Yau recently wrote a book that has quickly become a best-seller, and has garnered many positive reviews. The Shape of Inner Space: String Theory and the Geometry of the Universe's Hidden Dimensions is available at Amazon.com.
Professor Yau returned to Caltech on Feb. 13 to give another talk on his new book.
