The Phi Tau Phi Scholarship

The West America Chapter of the Phi Tau Phi Scholastic Honor Society offers four or more awards of $1000 each year to undergraduate and graduate students in recognition of their academic achievements and scholarly contributions. In addition to accomplished scholars, students who are talented in areas other than academics, such as those who have demonstrated exceptional leadership in society, special talents in fine arts, or strong commitment to Chinese heritage and culture, are encouraged to apply. Awards are presented during the annual meeting of the chapter in the Fall of each year. Except for special reasons approved by the scholarship committee, all awardees are required to attend the meeting and to give a poster presentation for scholarly exchange. The awardees are also invited to dinner and are welcome to give a brief oral presentation (about 5 minutes each) in addition to the poster presentation if they so desire.
